MaMa

The boys with their GREAT GRANDMOTHER! She is 84 years old, and could run circles around anyone. "Ma Ma" as we call her began watching T when he was only a few months old. Not daily but a few days here and there, and now bravely continues this pattern with both boys. This is not an easy task, and each time I go to pick them up she never complains or fusses. She is always delighted to see them and would rearrange her plans to have the opportunity to spend time with them.
What a blessing to have my grandmother making an impact on my boys, and I am certain that the times they spend with her will impact their lives forever.

Boys Christmas Picture

This picture is very random here, but I was playing with my layout and somehow I ended up getting this picture stuck here in the middle of the blog and now I cannot figure out how to delete it out so... here they are. This is actually one of two Christmas pictures we decided not to use. Just a little explanation

I am getting old!!

Since spring when the weather got really nice, my husband has been spending a lot of time on our porch.

Once I realized it was not just a passing phase, I decided I would enjoy the porch too if it was "spruced" it up a bit.I did a mini porch makeover by sweeping, planting flowers in pots and a nice hanging basket of flowers and lastly a very attractive bird feeder.

I hear birds all around our house, but after about 3 weeks I had yet to see a bird anywhere near our porch. I was convinced that the birds had something against our porch, feeder or seed.

But... this morning, I was sitting on the couch eating breakfast and our dog Tippy was sitting staring out the sliding glass door that leads to the porch, and he suddenly became excited.
I assumed it must be the pesky squirrel who is still trying to figure out how to get to the bird feeder, but I got up to see what he was so excited about. It was the prettiest little yellow bird at our feeder. YEAH!!! Finally a bird I was so excited. I was talking to the dog and he was looking at me like I was crazy which is probably accurate by most peoples standards. Needless to say this little bird made my day.

So.... I must be getting old if all it takes is a bird at the feeder to make my day!

Here Goes Nothing!

My first blog experience! I have recently read several blogs and thought, "I could really get into this." I believe I will give this a try.

I have no idea what I will 'blog" about. I can assure you that it will be mostly mindless babble.
Perhaps some funny things my boys have said or done, and I am sure a little "venting" from time to time.
