Dolphin Adventure

This slide show is from the day we went on the Dolphin Sea Adventure. More pictures to follow soon. ENJOY!

Back to Reality

We had a GREAT time at the beach! We stayed on the go most of the time, so we are all worn out, but we had a blast. We hung out on the beach almost everyday.Tim and the boys went fishing 3 days, We rode on the golf car almost every night to get ice cream (just what I needed)I do not even really like ice cream.
We went to Brodaway at the Beach. I really like this place. Lots of different things to see and do. Bailey was able to build his own cool car car at RIDEMAKERZ. It is kind of like Build A Bear but instead of stuffed animals, you build a car. You pick out the type of car, the wheels, etc. He was in heaven. Bailey LOVES cars. The more "Pimped Out"(I do not know a better word for this, sorry) the better.
A friend highly suggested we go on a Dolphin Sea adventure. This was really cool. We boarded the Hurricane II and set out to sea on extremely choppy waters. The boat puls up behind a working shrimp boat which is where all the dolphin are hanging out. After watching the dolphin for a while the boat pulls right up to the shrimp boat, and the shrimpers throw over the sea life that gets caught up in their nets. Our guide did a little sea life lesson on all the different thngs like a baby shark, sting ray, silver eel, electric shrimp, starfish, and different fish, and sand dollar. He also told the story of the Sand Dollar which was very cool. I had never heard that before and it is a christian story. He basically presented Jesus to those on the boat!!
We ate at a Japanese Steak House called NAKATO.We had a very entertaining cook, chef whatever you call those guys.we also ate at Chesapeake House, a great seafood place. They have alligators and turtles behind the resturaunt.
Our last evening there we went to Nascar Speedpark.
I am sure I left something out, but this post has been long enough and i have just rambled.I will post a slide show soon with lots of pictures.

Excitement is in the Air!

We are all very anxious and exicted to leave for our vacation on Saturday. We have been looking forward to this for a long time, and it is almost here. This vacation is special because it is the FIRST time that just me, Tim and the boys have been on vacation. Seems a little odd that in 11 years we have never been on vacation alone, but it has never worked out for lots of different reasons.
We have no specific plans except to have fun and enjoy each others company in a different setting without all the hustle and bustle of everyday life to distract us.
We plan to take lots of pictures to share.

Comments

I mistakenly clicked "Members Only" on the settings page for those who could comment on this blog, and a couple people let me know that they had tried to comment but were unable to. SORRY guys! I am sure that people are not just dying to leave a comment, However I do enjoy reading them and would not want to prevent you from doing so.

It's Monday morning (sigh). I think this is the hardest day of the week. But, I am reminded that...
This is the day that the Lord has made;let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
I hope everyone has a great week!

Random Pictures

Just some various pictures from different times I thought I would share.

New Look

I was never really thrilled with the other blog layout I had, nor the other options, but I found out that you can customize the colors of the layouts. I tried it and this is the result. Let me know what you think? I think the colors are a little "harsh", but I also think that fretting over my blog layout is a little shallow. Have a great weekend!!!

Bailey insisted I take this picture of Tippy. He thought it was the cutest thing he has ever seen! He LOVES this dog. He has wanted a dog since he was old enough to say the word. He would ask for one for every holiday and almost every day in between. So a year ago in April we finally got a dog! He is a "mutt" from the Humane Society. It took a long time for me to decide I could handle a dog in our house, and I even tried to figure out how to back out of it on the way to get him. But, to everyones amazement it took no time at all for me to fall in love with him. He has been the best dog. We could not ask for him to be any better.

I ran across this picture while trying to clean up computer files.Tyler, Bailey, and their cousins Jackson (Jack) and Alexandra (Alex). My brother and his wife live in NJ so we do not get to see them as often as we would like, but T and B think they are AWESOME and talk about them very often. The picture is from their last visit in January.

Fourth Of July

Just thinking about the Fourth of July and reflecting on what it really means.
I am thankful to live in a country where I am free to live the life I choose to live, worship in whatever way I choose, and speak freely. Most of all I am so thankful for my freedom in Christ, and pray that I will exercise the American freedoms I enjoy to share the spiritual freedom only Jesus Christ can provide.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17

Fourth of July at Fluor

Waiting for the fireworks display to begin at Fluor on Saturday evening.
Each year Fluor does a GREAT family event for the 4th for their employees and their families. Fortunately for us the last two years we have been able to participate with our friends B and J. The fireworks display goes on for at least 25 minutes and is defintely worth the wait. I made a poor attempt to capture some of the fireworks, but my photography skills are not any better than my computer skills so... the picture is pretty bad. The other pictures are the boys goofing off,and the father and son one was just a "kodak moment" I thought I would share.

Buddies

My youngest son B and his buddy J. Believe it or not J (the one on the right with a "buzz cut") is 3 yrs. younger than B. Not only do they look the same age, they also act the same age. So, I guess the question is ... Is B immature for his age or is J mature for his age???? Who cares! They enjoy spending time together and that is great because... J is the son of B and J who are very close friends of Tim and I. We met in Sunday School at church and have been close friends for about 3 years now. B and J came up with a fabulous idea a few months back to give each couple date nights. So every other Friday night Tim and I get to go out while B and J keep our boys and vice versa. It has been GREAT! Even when we don't do anything fabulous, just having the opportunity to talk uninterrupted is very nice and needed in marriage. Thanks B and J for coming up with a great idea!

Tim's B-day! (May 21)

Since I started this blog only recently, I have to go back in time a little to share some things. Our family began a new tradition this year on Tim's birthday. The boys had so much fun setting the table, getting the goofy looking hat and beads for daddy to wear and fixing his ice cream sundae just like he likes it.We will continue this for each birhtday celebrated in our home, and pictures are a must! Making memories like this are the "priceless" moments we hope our boys will carry with them for their whole life.
